Drawing on my senior leadership experience in safeguarding adults and adult social care I offer professional safeguarding supervision for individuals and teams, including those seeking group supervision formats.
Supervision plays a vital role in maintaining high‑quality care and ensuring individuals feel supported in their safeguarding responsibilities. It promotes reflective practice, ongoing learning, problem‑solving and confidence in meeting regulatory expectations.
External supervision can also provide valuable independent insight to colleagues in specific roles, helping organisations strengthen their workforce and assurance arrangements.
I believe safeguarding supervision should offer a safe, supportive space to reflect on complex cases and strengthen professional judgement and practice.
Safeguarding work can also be emotionally demanding, and supervision provides the opportunity to seek advice, gain fresh perspectives and think through situations that may feel “stuck” or difficult to navigate. Many practitioners also carry their own experiences of trauma, and certain cases can trigger difficult emotions.
External supervision may help individuals process these feelings in a safe environment, supporting their wellbeing as well as the quality of care they provide. If you would like to explore how my external safeguarding supervision offer could support you or your organisation, I’d be very happy to discuss this further.
